RULES AND REGULATIONS OF Federated Flight Group (AKA FFG) Referred to as such from here, forward.


1. General information:

  • 1. Federated Flight Group (FFG) has a limit of 50 pilots on its roster.
  • 2. Once this limit is reached new candidates will enter on a waiting list.
  • 3. FFG's aim is to provide a fully realistic aviation environment based on our available instruments (flight simulators and Vatsim network), we offer a friendly circles and a lot of destinations to fly to.
  • 4. FFG's fleet consist of all types of aircraft, and pilots are encouraged to fly as many as possible.
  • 5. FFG wants to run a professional group of pilots within Vatsim network and offline showing realism, respect and professionalism on all its operations.


2. Minimum requirements to join us:

  • 1. The candidate must be in possession of FSX, FSX Steam, PREPAR3D or X PLANE 10 or X PLANE 11.
  • 2. The candidate SHOULD have an active account within Vatsim. (However this does not bar you from applying).
  • 3. The candidate must be over the age of 16.
  • 4. The candidate MUST fly at least once for 30 minutes every 15 days.
  • 5. The candidate must provide accurate and relevant information about himself and or herself.
  • 6. The candidate must be fluent in both speaking and writing English.
  • 7. The candidate must show professionalism when flying with FFG.
  • 8. The candidate must have at least 5 flight hours logged on Vatsim network. Additionally, real flight hours will be added to your account and those will count as transferred hours and FFG normal hours in order to promote yourself. However not being on the Vatsim network DOES NOT bar you from JOINING.
  • 9. The candidate may be requested to perform a practical exam before joining.
  • 10. The candidate must complete his first flight within the next 5 days from his or her acceptance day. OR be removed from the V.A., without question and notification.
  • 11. FFG has the right to deny the admission of the candidate.
  • 12. FFG has the right to revoke the membership of any pilot who fail to adhere to the airline’s rules and regulations or does not behave according to the airline’s policy.


3. Pilot inactivity policy:

  • 1. The pilot MUST fly at least once for 30 minutes ,every 15 days.
  • 2. Pilots who are marked as inactive ones, will be asked by email if they want or not to continue on FFG      giving him/or/her a 5 days period to reply by our email and or on Teamspeak.
  • 3. The pilot might send a leave of absence request to us; in which (if accepted) the pilot will have a 90 days period in which he must fly at least once in order to remain on FFG. This request can only be sent once a year.
  • 4. You will not be able to send a leave of absence until you served 90 days or at least 10 flights for FFG.
  • 5. We strongly recommend to consider your ability to fulfill FFG's basic commitments before applying.
  • 6. If you cannot comply with these minimum requirements you will be removed from our pilots roster. Without notice!
  • 7. If you were removed from our rosters before, you can reapply to join us again and your past records will be looked at.


4. Disciplinary code:

  • 1. First of all, pilots must show respect and cordiality to other FFG pilots and the whole virtual community members like to another virtual airline members or Vatsim and other social networks.
  • 2. All FFG resources are only usable by our pilots, and are not publishable.
  • 3. Pilots are requested to show the real aviation and Vatsim spirit, cordiality and seriousness when using FFG's call sign.
  • 4. Pilots must fill an appropriate ATS flight plan and carry an appropriate amount of fuel for the intended flight,(we do use V.A. finances, PLEASE keep this in mind) and prioritizing safety on all operations.
  • 5. Depending on the importance of the event, softer or strict measures will be taken by our staff to ensure and maintain the quality on our operations and of our virtual airline.
  • 6. FFG pilots must show professionalism at all times during the operations on the network, especially in communications, flight planning and flight execution.
  • 7. FFG pilots are requested not to make a fuss on public forums, social network or VATSIM network itself, especially when flying for FFG.
  • 8. FFG will take measures against any pilot who disobeys any of these rules.

 

 

5. PIREPS and operations policy:

  • 1. Tracking must start before pushback, at a gate/stand or Cargo ramp or engine start, whichever is earlier, and must finish after engines shut down and at a gate/stand or cargo ramp.
  • 2. You must always fly an available company route, or SCC by booking them by our crew system.
  • 3. You can move from your current location to another airport, but bear in mind that this positioning will cost you virtual money and the amount will be set according to the relocating distance. It is not the same to move from LEPA to LEIB than to ZBAA.
  • 4. The following positioning costs are established, 25 dollars when moving from and to the same country, 100 dollars in order to move from one country to another one in the same continent and finally, 200 dollars when moving from one country to another one, in a different continent.
  • 5. Any crash flight will turn the aircraft automatically to a maintenance status and will be disabled from the FFG active fleet for 1 days this will suppose an economical penalty on your virtual account of 5,000 dollars.
  • 6. A five days period is established for those aircrafts which reach less than a 30% status by the normal usage in order to repair and check them, taking them out from FFG's active fleet.
  • 7. Accelerated time simulation is strictly forbidden on FFG's operations.
  • 8. You must fly the company route or you may plan a new one suitable for your flight, direct GPS or similar routes are not allowed.
  • 9. All reports must be sent via the FFG SMARTcars software, although manual reports will be accepted in the event of a simulator crash or any other kind of failure reporting your flight by FFG SMARTcars.

  • Question: What is a Virtual Airline?
  • Answer:  A Virtual Airline (VA) is an airline that exists solely in cyberspace, and therefore doesn't sell real airline tickets. Instead it gives purpose and added realism to activities held in a flight simulator.    
  • A V.A. is also a meeting place of virtual aviation enthusiasts.



  • Question:  Which simulators and multiplayer networks are supported by Federated Flight Group
  • Answer:   FFG actively supports all three major flight simulators:  Microsoft  FSX/SE, Prepar3d, and X-plane. You can fly on VATSIM and FScloud or whatever you prefer.



  • Question: Which airplanes can I use to fly with FFG?
  • Answer:    We currently do not restrict airplanes to rank.



  • Question:  Which airports can I  fly to/from with FFG?
  • Answer:    You can fly between any of the airports in our databases of over 7000 airports.   If your favorite airport is not there, please contact us.



  • Question:  OK, I signed up, now how do I fly for Federated Flight Group?

  • Question:  How do I get promoted?
  • Answer:     Promotions within the pilot ranks are based upon total hours flown. Each promotion brings a pay raise.



  • Question:   As a pilot, am I required to fly on VATSIM?
  • Answer:      No, FFG pilots are welcome to fly on any server they choose, or offline.



  • Question:   Does FFG use Teamspeak?

  • Question:   SO, my PIREP said it got rejected? WTF?
  • Answer:  This means that you filed a PIREP with ONE AND/OR MORE of the following,-  
  • A Landing rate above 650 FPM.  
  • A plane crash at ANYTIME during your flight.  
  • Not using proper FUEL Management. (WE DO USE V.A. FINANCES PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND)
  • Multiple stalls during any point of flight will result in the PIREP being rejected.
